Hiroden Hatsukichi is the gateway station to Miyajima Island, one of Japan's premier domestic and international tourism destinations. The Miyajima Electric Railway's local tram service connects directly; from here, the Itsukushima Shrine and the famous floating torii gate are minutes away via ferry. This creates legitimate short-term rental potential for vacation-oriented investors — Miyajima attracts several million visitors annually. However, the station itself is outside the core Hiroshima CBD, limiting daily commuter demand and pricing leverage. Properties reflect the tourist-economy positioning: modest purchase prices but also modest yields unless actively managed for vacation rental.
